Visitors who are not so keen on beaches or who wish to have new holiday experiences will find a wide array of sierras and natural parks to visit. Sierra Nevada and the Sierra María-Los Vélez Natural Park are good examples of this, in which the vegetation and fauna spur visitors to practice active tourism. These are found in all variety of areas, affording every opportunity for active tourism, as well as facilitating visits to natural areas and parks and Almería’s beaches.
